The Tunisian startup Ilboursa.com, and a French internet finance news stage, announced on Tuesday (September 12) the closing of its first fundraising of almost 1 million Tunisian dinars (US$ 400,000) for 33 percentage of equity shares to COTIF Sicar, a Tunisian investment and financing company.
Ilboursa was made in 2013 by Ismail Ben Sassi with a capital of 5,000 dinars ($2,000). It was technically endorsed by ABC Bourse, a financial information site in France.
The fundraising had been concluded in less than three weeks. “We interviewed the president of COTIF Sicar and that he had been interested in the concept of Ilboursa and provided us to open up our capital,” Ben Sassi informed Wamda.
The merger will probably enable the enterprise to come up with the Ilboursa portal in other Francophone African nations in addition to developing an English version for Kenya and Nigeria.
