Nokia aspires to Get people’s New in India, Can Market phones Offline & Online : News

India will again become a marketplace for Nokia, as it aims to become one of the three gamers worldwide, a top company executive has stated.

The company, when the undisputed leader of the cell phone space, now works through HMD Global and unveiled the Nokia 6, Nokia 5, Nokia 3 and a revived version of the iconic Nokia 3310 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) here.

“From June, these products will be released internationally and India will serve as a key market for us again. Our attempt is to supply 100 percent from the nation because of tax benefits,” Ajey Mehta, Vice President-India to get HMD Global India Ltd., told IANS on the sidelines of the yearly event.

“We will make sure that we’ve got a renewed presence in 250 towns and cities before we make new products out there.

“Our core strength is offline however we will also go online to reach a larger audience. However, online and offline product ranges will differ,” he said, adding that a focus on center experience, layout, quality and also a pure Android encounter will drive the bidding to be among the top three smartphone gamers globally.

“The marketplace has been littered with undifferentiated products and there is fatigue being observed. Folks are looking for new offerings. We’ll aim to turn into the people’s brand and have a presence in flagship brands as well as from the low-price section,” Mehta highlighted.

The Nokia mill at Sriperumbudur in Tamil Nadu is one of the largest facilities for mobile phones on the planet.

Nokia 6 features a 5.5-inch full-HD display and is created from a single block of 6000 series aluminium. The apparatus will be available in several colours — matte silver, tempered copper and blue.

Developed from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 mobile platform and Qualcomm Adreno 505 graphics processor, Nokia 5 features a 5.2-inch IPS HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass.

Thin, light and durable, the 52 (significantly less than Rs 4,000) Nokia 3310 delivers 22-hour talk-time and also a month-long stand-by. The unit can be found having a matte finish , either having a gloss finish, along with Blue and Grey, either in four colours — rugged Red and Yellow.

“We shall stick to the core principles of Nokia such as reliability, consistency, simplicity, human touch, trust… but implement them into a more contemporary way so that it’s appealing to the newest customers. We need to get the best in the past and target new customers,” Mehta told IANS.

Nokia announced that it had accredited company HMD Global to produce pills and phones.

HMD has reached agreements with both Microsoft and Nokia for the Nokia brand and some layout rights’ usage. HMD is planning to spend some 400 million euros to advertise the Nokia brand for the next 3 decades.

Cancer charity works to combat ‘fake news’ online

A charity also has appointed a digital nurse to talk to cancer sufferers online because it fears those who look up their disease might be left needlessly frightened.

Macmillian Cancer Support has created the role to fight ‘news’ in reaction to a growing demand for information regarding cancer diagnosis and treatment.

The Digital Nurse Expert will be devoted to answering inquiries from individuals affected by cancer online, on the internet community of the charity and Macmillan’s social media platforms.

Michael Gray, aged 60, was diagnosed with rectal cancer at 2013. Michael was experiencing symptoms of this disease for a while and did not want to worry his family consequently turned to the web for information.

He explained: “I started suspecting something was not right about fourteen weeks before my diagnosis. I didn’t want to worry my spouse so covertly looked up my symptoms.

“The websites confirmed my worst fears and naturally I was fearful. The terror was compounded by the fact I had recently lost both my parents to cancer. My hope was that I was young.

“Following my diagnosis and through my treatment my spouse avidly looked for information on the internet. I had to stay away from the internet, it was too scary.”

Macmillan research has revealed that an people thought after looking up information about their disorder online they were going to die.

In addition to rolling out this fresh Digital Nurse role, Macmillan is calling for support for cancer sufferers on the internet with healthcare professionals which means that they could signpost them to trusted sites getting more training on the information available to their patients.
